Do you have Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in place for your buildings?
The South African Department of Mineral Resources and Energy released regulations requiring owners of specific buildings to have Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in place for those buildings by December 2022.
The buildings which require EPCs are as follows:
- Buildings with a net floor area of equal to or greater than 2000m2; and
- Buildings that are older than 2 years; and
- Buildings that have not been subject to major renovations in the past 2 years; and
- Buildings that are classified as entertainment and public assembly, theatrical and indoor sport, places of instruction and offices.
Catalyst Verification Solutions (part of the Catalyst Solutions group of companies) is a SANAS-accredited EPC inspection body (accreditation number EPC0018) – with sight of the deadline approaching, we can assist you and your company to get the required EPCs in place for your building(s).
We have developed a tool which helps us make the process more efficient, whilst ensuring compliance and quality. If you or your company own a building in line with the above, then contact Catalyst Solutions to discuss:
